Joey Lucchesi tied a 55-year old Southeast Missouri record after striking out out 17 batters in Thursday’s game against Murray State. He faced the minimum through four innings before a leadoff base hit in the fifth ended the hitless streak. He allowed only one run which came in the seventh inning. He struck out the side in the eighth, his final inning of work. He now has 105 strikeouts on the season.
