Southeast Missouri State University Athletics

Joey Lucchesi pitched seven perfect innings in Southeast Missouri's 10-0 victory at Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Friday afternoon. The reigning OVC Pitcher of the Year did not allow a base runner and retired all 21 batters he faced. Lucchesi struck out 11 in picking up his first victory of the season. Lucchesi was  tabbed Louisville Slugger National Pitcher of the Week by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper as well as the adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week following his stellar outing on Friday.
