For the third time this season Hannah Eastman broke the school record in the women's 6000-meter. Eastman crossed the line at 20:42.77 breaking her previous record of 21:12.0. Not only did Eastman break her own record but she placed first and was named to First-Team All OVC.

On Friday night, Eastman was also selected as the OVC Female Athlete of the Year. The 6000-meter school record holder becomes just the fourth female in school history to achieve the honor, the last being Carli Knott in 2020.

astman has had a record breaking year in 2023, breaking the 6k school record twice in back-to-back races.

The graduate student from Belleville, Ill. has finished first for the SEMO women in every race and earned OVC Female Runner of the Week three races in a row.
