Katie Wegmann paced the Southeast Missouri women's cross country team at the 2022 Redhawks Invitational on Sept. 2, as the Redhawks took first at its season opener. SEMO totaled 30 points with its five scorers finishing in the top nine at the home meet held at the Osage Centre Fields in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Wegmann, a senior from Mequon, Wisconsin, was named the Ohio Valley Conference Co-Female Runner of the Week Tuesday after she registered a personal-best 4K time of 14:25.3 for third overall at the Invitational. The competition was Wegmann’s first back since suffering a season-ending injury during the 2022 indoor track season.
