Romana Tarajova, a senior from Dolný Kubín, Slovakia, went 1-0 in singles as Southeast Missouri women’s tennis opened its 2022 Ohio Valley Conference slate with a 6-1 victory over Eastern Illinois on March 25. In the battle of the top two preseason OVC players in 2022, Tarajova, the 2022 OVC Preseason Top Player and 2021 OVC Player of the Year, prevailed over #2 Rachel Papavasilopoulos, 1-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-0, at the top singles position.
