Brandon Mincey was named the Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week Sunday. A native of Miami, Florida, Mincey recorded six tackles, two tackles for loss, a forced fumble and one interception in Southeast Missouri football's 30-14 road victory over Austin Peay Saturday (Oct. 9). He added five solo stops and was one of three Redhawks with a pick. Mincey helped lead a SEMO defense which compiled a season-high six takeaways.
