Derek Gibson hit .600 (9-for-15) with three runs scored, a double, two triples, one home run and nine RBI in Southeast Missouri's series win at Tennessee Tech last weekend. Gibson had two hits, including a three-run double in Friday's series-opener, as Southeast won the 2014 Ohio Valley Conference regular-season title and locked up the No. 1 seed for the league's postseason tournament. In game two, he went 3-for-4 with four RBI and fell a double shy of hitting for the cycle. Gibson then finished his strong weekend by going 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBI. He boasted a 1.133 slugging percentage and .529 on-base percentage, as well. Gibson (65) needs just three more RBI to break Southeast's single-season record. Additionally, he currently owns a 27-game hitting streak.
