Josiah Kilgore of Southeast Missouri track & field captured the javelin title Saturday at the 2021 Sycamore Open with a distance of 193-7 (59.01m). Kilgore, a freshman from Poplar Bluff, Missouri, registered the mark in his fifth and final attempt at the Open. Kilgore was named the OVC Male Field Athlete of the Week on April 15 after he notched a personal-best 226-3 (68.96m) for second at the Tennessee Relays (April 8-10). Kilgore has finished in the top-three for javelin in each of the last five meets.
