Tesia Thompson led Southeast Missouri women's basketball this past week with 59 points (19.0ppg) and 27 rebounds (9rpg) as the Redhawks posted a 2-1 week. Thompson opened the week with 14 points and nine boards at UTM. She was 5-for-12 from the field and 4-for-6 at the free throw line in the road contest. On Thursday against TTU, Thompson paced the Redhawks with 17 points, rebounding from a difficult opening half where she shot 2-for-14. Thompson ended the night 6-for-19, going 4-for-5 in the second half and 5-for-7 from the free-throw line. She also dished out a season-high seven assists. Thompson then concluded the week with a double-double of 26 points with 14 rebounds Saturday against JSU. Thompson scored the first nine Redhawks points in the contest and went to the break with 17 points, shooting 8-for-14 in the opening half. She finished the game 11-for-12 on field goals and 3-for-4 from the charity stripe.
