Nana Akenten scored double figures in three-straight games leading Southeast Missouri men’s basketball to a 2-1 record last week. Akenten began the week with 18 points and seven rebounds at UT Martin (Jan. 26). He then scored 10 points vs. SIUE (Jan. 28) and led the team with 13 points against Eastern Illinois (Jan. 30). For the week, Akenten shot 53.6 percent (15-of-28) from the field and 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from 3-point range. He also averaged 5.3 rebounds per game, dished out three assists, collected seven steals and boasted a 13.7 points per game average.
