Logan Blomquist was named the Ohio Valley Conference Men's Athlete of the Championship this past weekend at the 2019 OVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship after he earned a Championship-best 33 points for Southeast over the three-day meet. Blomquist grabbed a pair of Gold medals in hammer and discus, a Silver in shot put, and a fourth place finish in the javelin to earn SEMO's fifth Men's Championship MVP. He set a new Southeast program record in the hammer throw and a new OVC Championship mark of 213-5 (65.06m) before posting a discus distance of 171-3 (52.19m). Blomquist was the runner-up in shot put with 54-2 (16.51m) and fourth in javelin with a feat of 160-11 (49.06m).
