Logan Blomquist won the hammer throw and placed second in both the shot put and discus competitions as Southeast Missouri track and field opened its outdoor season at the Rhodes Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Wolfe Track and Field Complex. Blomquist captured first in the men's hammer throw with a career-best mark of 196-2 (59.79m). He was second in the shot put (52-4.75, 15.97m) and discus (168-8, 51.40m). Blomquist also posted a mark of 150-4 (45.83m, ninth) in javelin.
