Cameron Sanders, who hails from Memphis, Tennessee, ran back a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown with 10:10 left to play in the fourth quarter against JSU. Sanders' 99-yard kickoff return was the longest in Southeast history and longest in the OVC this season. He is the third player to return a kick for a touchdown in the OVC this year, joining Murray State's Janawski Davis and Eastern Illinois' Tray Mitchell. Sanders finished with 156 kick return yards against the Gamecocks. He earned OVC Specialist of the Week for his performance at Jacksonville State.
