Marquis Terry secured his second OVC Offensive Player of the Week accolade this season after he accounted for 183 all-purpose yards and a pair of touchdowns as SEMO topped Tennessee State Saturday. He carried the ball 21 times for 107 yards (5.1 ypc) and a touchdown, and caught a career-high six passes for 76 yards, including an eight-yard touchdown. In the process, Terry went over the 1,000-yard rushing mark this season (one of just seven FCS players to reach that mark this season) and the 2,000-yard rushing plateau for his career (ranking eighth in school history in just two years). Terry, who had his third straight 100-yard rushing game, scored on a 37-yard run in the second quarter. A candidate for the Walter Payton Award, Terry ranks sixth nationally in all-purpose yards (157.0/game), seventh in rushing yards (1,021), ninth in total touchdowns (12), 11th in rushing touchdowns (11) and rushing yards/game (113.4), 18th in rushing yards/carry (6.38) and 23rd in scoring (8.0 points/game).
