Outside linebacker Justin Swift was named OVC Defensive Player of the Week, College Sports Madness OVC and National FCS Defensive Player of the Week after he recorded 11 tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception in the Redhawks mammoth 37-14 win over #4 Jacksonville State. He tallied seven solo stops and forced a big turnover when he sacked Zerrick Cooper on the first play from scrimmage in the second half. Swift keyed a SEMO defense which forced a season-high five turnovers and limited JSU to under 100 rushing yards (99).
