Graduate Student Chris Martin won his first event of the 2018 outdoor season in the triple jump with a final mark of 51'4.25" (15.65m) last week at the Al Schmidt Bulldog Invite. This was the first event win of the 2018 outdoor season for Martin, and one of two event wins for Southeast at the meet. With this new mark, Martin now sits at 3rd in the west regional rankings in the men’s triple jump behind Tahar Tricki of Texas A&M and Brian Mada of Depaul.
