Denzel Mahoney averaged 21 points, four rebounds and 2.5 assists per game and helped Southeast Missouri overcome two double-digit deficits en route to a pair of victories last week. Mahoney began the week by scoring 15 points and went over 1,000 in his career in a 78-62 victory at Morehead State (Feb. 8). Two days later, Mahoney dropped in 27 points and made the game-tying 3-pointer with one second left in regulation to send the game to overtime at UT Martin (Feb. 10). The Redhawks were down 15 points with a little over nine minutes left in regulation before rallying to beat the Skyhawks in overtime. For the week, Mahoney shot 54.5 percent (12-of-22) from the field, 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from 3-point range and 91.7 percent (11-of-12) at the free throw line. Mahoney was awarded adidas® OVC Co-Player of the Week for his efforts.
