Junior right-handed pitcher Jacob Lawrence was named the adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week on Monday, May 11. In just his fourth start of the season, Lawrence earned the win against No. 21 Missouri (May 5). He pitched 7.2 innings, allowing three runs on six hits against the Tigers. He also recorded seven strikeouts and no walks. Lawrence was perfect his first time through the Missouri lineup and had a one-hit shutout through five innings.
