True freshman Marcus Wallace scored a career-high 18 points off the bench to lead Southeast Missouri to a 68-64 come-from-behind win over Eastern Illinois (Feb. 7). Wallace shot 6-of-9 from the field and 5-of-7 at the free throw line to help the Redhawks erase a 12-point deficit in the final 10:36 of the game. He missed just one field goal (3-of-4) and scored 11 points in the game’s final 20 minutes. Wallace’s strong effort helped Southeast’s bench outscore the EIU reserves, 40-9. He finished with 10.5 points and shot 63.6 percent (7-of-11) from the field in two games last week.
