Southeast Missouri State University Athletics

Shon Kyle won two individual championships and led Southeast Missouri with 28 points at the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championship. Kyle won the shot put and the discus, and took second in the hammer throw. The junior hit season-bests in all three events that included a toss of 17.05 meters in the shot put, a throw of 54.03 meters in the discus and a heave of 56.46 meters in the hammer throw. Kyle's 28 points were the most of any competitor at the conference championship. Southeast swept the men's and women's OVC outdoor titles for the fourth time and first since 2006.
