Freshman sprinter Prenecia Ponds was victorious on three different occasions in Southeast Missouri's annual Joey Haines Invitational on Apr. 4-5. Ponds won the 100-meter dash in 12.01 seconds, a time that ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference. She followed that with a 24.44 second run in the 200-meter dash. Both marks are presently season-bests for Ponds. Ponds also ran a leg of the 4x100 relay, helping her team win the event with a time of 46.96 seconds. Southeast claimed both the men's and women's team titles in this year's Joey Haines Invitational.
