Midfielder Elizabeth Rater was named to the 2021 Second-Team All-OVC and OVC All-Newcomer Team, the league announced Nov. 4. Rater led Southeast Missouri women’s soccer with three goals as a freshman in 2021. She appeared in all 19 games and started nine, including each of SEMO's final five contests. Rater ranked fourth on the team in shots (9), tied for second in shots on goal (7) and third for shots on goal percentage (.788). She was also second on the team with six points (3g). Rater scored her first career goal in the 87th minute of a 4-1 win over Maryville (Aug. 22). Her other goals came at Murray State (Sept. 30) and during her first career OVC start at SIUE (Oct. 21), both on headers. The Mequon, Wisconsin, native, led the Redhawks in conference play with two goals (four points) in eight games. In OVC play, Rater ranked ninth for goals (2g) and 10th with 0.25 goals per game. Rater registered a shot on goal in 75 minutes of playing time Nov. 5 in SEMO’s 2021 OVC Championship Semifinal against #2 SIUE.
