Alyssa Tucker had a solid all-around day at the Midwest Independent Conference Championships. The freshman finished third in the all-around with a score of 39.000 and posted a third-place finish on the balance beam. It was the Raleigh, N.C., native’s routine on the beam that clinched the conference title for the Redhawks. Tucker scored a 9.800 as the last competitor in the event, leading Southeast to victory. She also scored a 9.775 on the floor and a 9.775 on the uneven bars en route to being named MIC Freshman of the Year.
