Erin Shulman scored 18 points to earn Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year honors in 2011. Shulman tied for the team lead with nine goals and finished second with 18 points en route to First-Team All-OVC and OVC All-Newcomer accolades. The Redhawks, who open their season at home against Illinois State Friday, were picked second in this year's OVC Preseason Poll.
