STARKVILLE, Miss. – Sullivan Gleason took the lone event title as the Southeast Missouri Track and Field teams wrapped up the Bulldog Relays Saturday.
The Redhawks were dominant in the men's pole vault, sweeping the top two spots.
Sullivan Gleason claimed the event title with a clearance of 16-6.75, while
Colin Beers followed closely in second at 16-3.
Jake Cannon added a fourth-place finish (15-9), and
Luis Schadlich placed eighth (13-9.5) to round out a strong group performance.
In the women's javelin,
Kennedy Zgaynor led the way with a fourth-place finish and a personal-best throw of 152-11.
Ava Dumke (132-7) and
Avery Graham (122-8) followed in eighth and ninth, while
Anna Thomason added a 12th-place finish at 111-7.
On the track, Thomason continued her strong day by earning a runner-up finish in the women's 100-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 13.92. Marcus Gordon placed seventh in the men's 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.8.
In the middle-distance events,
Evan Fuller led the Redhawks in the men's 800 meters with a fifth-place finish in 1:54.3, while
Trey Mygatt followed in ninth at 1:55.0.
Ian Schwierjohn added a seventh-place finish in the men's 1500 meters, clocking a time of 3:59.15.
In the sprints,
Jonas Davis finished 14th in the men's 100 meters with a time of 10.79.
The Redhawks also turned in solid relay performances. The women's 4x400-meter relay team of McClelland, Clements,
Anna Thomason, and Burdine placed fifth in 3:51.7. On the men's side, the A-relay team of
Marcus Gordon Jr.,
Connor Moore,
Jonas Davis, and
Jackson Witvoet finished sixth in 3:18.15, while the C relay team of Schadlich, Fuller, Mygatt, and
Micah Grawer placed seventh in 3:23.6.
In the throws,
Mark Goldman placed 13th in the men's shot put with a mark of 48-4, while
Bailie Hux finished 13th in the women's shot put at 41-4.75. Schadlich also competed in the men's javelin, placing 11th with a throw of 154-1.
The Redhawks will return to the track when they host the Joey Haines Invitational Friday and Saturday.
