Redhawks Back on the Road\
• Southeast Missouri closes out its six-game road trip at in-state foe Lindenwood this weekend. The Redhawks and Lions will play a 3 p.m. doubleheader Saturday followed by a 12 p.m., CT single game Sunday.
• SEMO is 4-1 on the road in Ohio Valley Conference play this season.
• The Redhawks posted series wins against six of their last nine OVC foes dating back to last season.
• SEMO won five of its last six road games.
Series Notes
• Southeast Missouri is 6-0 all-time against Lindenwood, which first joined the Ohio Valley Conference on July 21, 2022.
• SEMO swept three-game series against LU in 2023 and 2024.
• The Redhawks outscored the Lions, 26-7, in three games during their last trip to St. Charles in 2023.
• On Feb. 11, 2025, LU notified the NCAA of its intention to participate in the expedited process to exit the reclassification process one year early.
• Final approval from the NCAA will allow the Lions to be eligible for NCAA Championship postseason competition beginning in the 2025-26 academic year.
Two Months In
• The Redhawks ended the month of March with a 9-7 record.
• Southeast Missouri won six of its final nine games in March.
• SEMO begins April with its trip to Lindenwood this weekend.
Seventh Inning Production
• Southeast Missouri is outscoring opponents, 24-5, in the seventh inning this season.
• SEMO recently rallied for three runs with two outs in the top of the seventh inning to get by Eastern Illinois, 3-0, on Mar. 28.
OVC Series Wins
• Southeast Missouri started Ohio Valley Conference play with series wins in two of its first four conference weekends.
• SEMO took two of three at home vs. UT Martin (Mar. 8-9), swept Western Illinois (Mar. 14-15) on the road, dropped two of three at home vs. SIU Edwardsville (Mar. 21-22) and split a doubleheader at Eastern Illinois (Mar. 28).
• The Redhawks improved to 22-11 all-time in OVC openers this year.
• SEMO also started league action with a win for the 11th time in its last 15 seasons.
• The Redhawks won seven of their last eight home-openers and claimed an OVC opening series win for the seventh time under Head Coach Mark Redburn.
• 2025 marked SEMO's fifth-straight year where it started OVC play at home.
Milestones Ahead for Redburn
• Mark Redburn is approaching two more milestones in his coaching career.
• Redburn needs six more victories to reach 500 career wins as a head coach. He has been a head coach for 21 years between stops at St. Charles Community College, Jefferson College, Evansville and Southeast Missouri.
• Overall, Redburn is 494-472 as a head coach.
• Redburn is also just three wins away from getting 150 Ohio Valley Conference victories.
• He is 147-85 all-time in OVC games.
OVC Success
• Since 2019, Southeast Missouri has won three Ohio Valley Conference championships, two OVC Tournament titles and made the NCAA Tournament twice.
• SEMO finished among the top two teams in the OVC during four of the last five years.
• The Redhawks won the OVC regular-season title in 2019, 2021 and 2023 (all odd years) during that span.
• In its last five seasons, SEMO finished with 16 or more OVC victories.
• The Redhawks were 19-8 in 2024, 20-2 in 2023, 16-10 in 2022, 23-6 in 2021 and 17-5 in 2019.

• Lindenwood is sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings with an even 6-6 record.
• The Lions became the first team in the OVC to win a series against league leader SIU Edwardsville this season.

• Pitching wise, the Lions lead the OVC in strikeouts (183), strikeouts looking (56) and opposing batting average (.253).

• Southeast Missouri's hitters have struck out an Ohio Valley Conference low 84 times this season.

Dennis Closes in on 150 Career Starts
• Game one of this weekend's series at Lindenwood will mark the 150th career start for Sydney Dennis.
• Dennis has has started 149 of 170 games in her career.
• She has played and started the most career games of any Redhawk on this year's team.
Complete Game Kell
• Delaney Kell picked up her second-straight complete game victory at Eastern Illinois (Mar. 28).
• Kell allowed just four hits and struck out five in her team-high second shutout of the season.
• She improved to 5-2 and leads the Redhawks in wins, complete games (3) and shutouts (2).
Saysoff Lifts Redhawks
• Brooklyn Saysoff hit a two-out, two-RBI double in the top of the seventh inning to send Southeast Missouri to its 3-0 victory over Eastern Illinois (Mar. 28).
• The game was scoreless until Saysoff's big hit that sparked a three-run seventh inning.
• She hit .571 (4-for-7) with one run scored, a double, three RBI, a .571 on-base percentage and .714 slugging percentage in two games against the Panthers.
• Saysoff enters the weekend on a three-game hitting streak.
Dennis Among National Leaders
• Sydney Dennis ranks eighth in the nation in doubles doubles per game (0.42) and 49th in batting average (.443).
• Dennis leads the Ohio Valley Conference in those categories, as well.
Leading the OVC
• Southeast Missouri leads the Ohio Valley Conference in batting average (.323), on-base percentage (.498), earned run average (3.06), runners picked off (3), fewest hits allowed (171), fewest runs allowed (105), fewest earned runs allowed (76), fewest walks allowed (79) and fielding percentage (.965).
• Individually, Sydney Dennis tops the OVC in batting average (.443). Brooklyn Saysoff is first in RBI (30), Tegan Livesay is first in fewest walks allowed (10) and Maddie Carney (34) and Willow Van Haren (34) are first in fewest hits allowed. Carney also leads the league in fewest runs allowed (17).
OVC Update
• Southeast Missouri enters the weekend at third in the Ohio Valley Conference standings.
• SEMO (7-4) is behind both Tennessee State (8-3) and Eastern Illinois (8-3) which share the second-place spot.
