TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Southeast Missouri track and field enjoyed a successful day at the Pacesetter Sports Invite recording nine winning marks and 25 top five finishes while setting eight new personal records.
Gold Medal Marks
Josiah Kilgore claimed the top spot on the podium in the javelin with a throw of 187' 10".
Makenzie Williams grabbed the gold medal in the discus and the hammer throw with marks of 152' 05" and 185' 02"
Colin Beers vaulted over a height of 16' 4.75" to grab a new PR and stand alone atop the podium in the pole vault.
In the men's 400m hurdle race Marcus Gordon crossed the line ahead of everyone with a PR time of 54.62.
Luke Hatfield Jackson flew over a bar height of 7' 0.25" to hold the trophy in the high jump.
Clara Billing went over a height of 12' 11.50" to take the gold in the women's pole vault.
Paden Lewis threw for a final distance of 212' 01" in the hammer throw of a new PR.
The women's 4x400m squad of
Sydney Burdine,
Brianna Dixon,
Leanza Dwaah, and
Laila Hardin finished holding the trophy with a time of 3:55.76.
Top Five Finishes
In the discus
Andreese Ortiz placed fifth with a new personal best mark of 43' 02"
Molly Grohmann cleared a height of 5' 06" in the high jump for the silver medal.
Gordon cleared hurdles for 110m in a time of 14.81 for fifth.
Dixon and
Anna Thomason both finished the 100m in 14.00 for third and fourth.
Dominic Revels finished the 100m in 10.76 for fifth.
Burdine ran the 400m dash in 57.36 to take home the bronze.
In the women's javelin, freshmen Kennedy Zgaynor and
Ava Dumke posted distances of 140' 11" (PR) and 116' 11" for second and fifth.
Lewis and
Clay Alewelt chalked up marks of 177' 3" (PR) and 172' 10" for second and third.
In the pole vault
Sullivan Gleason cleared a height of 16' 0.75" for the silver.
In the men's long jump
Aarion Jackson jumped for a distance of 23' 7.25" for third and
Cole Bruenderman notched a finish of 22' 6.50" for fifth.
Alewelt threw the hammer for a season best mark of 196' 03" to take fourth.
Jacob Blassingame ran the steeplechase in 9:58.94 for fifth.
With a third place finish
Bailie Hux achieved a hammer throw distance of 168' 10".
Lewis launched the men's shot put for a 56' 5.75" mark for third.
Notable Redhawks
Mattea Pearsall crossed the line at 4:47.60 for ninth and a new personal record in the women's 1500m.
With a time of 17.11
Jake Casey (17th) achieved a new personal best in the men's 110H
After the 400m dash was over Dwaah timed in at 1:00.53 for ninth place.
Thomason cleared 17' 9.50" of sand for ninth in the women's long jump and placed 10th in the 200m with a time of 24.90.
Baylee Beard recorded a mark of 109' 6" for seventh in the women's javelin.
In the men's 800m
Tyler Anderson and
Louis Primeau achieved season best times of 1:55.31 and 1:55.96 for eighth and ninth.
Luke Busateri jumped for a seventh place mark of 22' 1.75".
With sixth and ninth place finishes Beard and
Andreese Ortiz notched final marks of 44' 11.75"
and 42' 2.25".
With a ninth place finish
Quinton Maxwell recorded a mark of 160' 01" in the men's hammer throw and a throw of 50' 0.50" (7th) in the shot put.
The mens team of Revels, Gordon,
Connor Moore, and
Byron Sowerby finished the 4x400m relay in 3:34.49 (9th).
In the men's shot put Jehchys Brown placed eighth (49-10.50) and Alewelt placed 10th (48' 11").
