LINCOLN, Neb. - Southeast Missouri track and field finished day one of the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite with 18 top 20 finishes and two new personal records.
Day two of the meet begins with the heptathlon 60m hurdles at 10:00 a.m., CT. The running events begin at 10:30 a.m. with the men's 200m dash. The field events are slated for 12:00 p.m with the men's high jump.Â
The last event inside Bob Devaney Sports Center is scheduled for 4:45 p.m. with the women's 4x400m relay race.
Second To None
Paden Lewis Stood atop the podium in the men's weight throw with a mark of 71' 2.50". He finished above 16 other athletes and that mark ranks third in the SEMO record book.
Top Ten Performers
Sullivan Gleason vaults over a height of 16' 4.75" for his season best in the pole vault (7th).
After the weight throw concluded
Makenzie Williams notched sixth (62' 7.25") for a new PR and
Bailie Hux placed 10th with a final distance of 57' 3.75" for a season best throw.
In the women's 5000m race
Kayla Vogelsang crossed the line at 18:23.71 for fourth.
Marcus Gordon Jr clocks in at 8.28 for seventh to qualify for finals tomorrow in the 60m hurdles.
Brianna Dixon crosses the line at 8.69 to qualify for the finals tomorrow in the 60m hurdles for a season best time.
Molly Grohmann jumps to a distance of 17' 10.75" for sixth in the women's long jump.
