Volleyball Concludes Regular Season Tuesday & Wednesday at SIUE
Southeast Missouri Volleyball (18-12, 10-6 OVC) will wrap-up the 2025 regular season with a pair of midweek matches at SIUE (12-15, 7-9 OVC) on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 18-19. First serve is slated for 6 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively, from First Community Arena in Edwardsville, Illinois.Â

Series History
SEMO Volleyball holds a 17-14 overall lead in the series against SIUE and are on a two-match winning streak in the series. The Redhawks took care of business in both matches a season ago against SIUE, en route to capturing the 2024 OVC regular season title. The Redhawks have won nine of the last 10 meetings between the two programs.Â

Redhawks Roll
SEMO Volleyball extended their winning streak to six matches with back-to-back beatdowns of Western Illinois last Thursday and Friday. The Redhawks dominated the Leathernecks with two-straight sweeps to pick up their 10
th OVC victory of the season. SEMO outhit WIU by a .306 to .139 tally, led by
Lucy Arndt who finished with 21 total kills over six sets. The Redhawks recorded 93 kills to WIU's 60 as four Redhawks finished in double figure kills.Â

She Can Serve
Junior
Nina Schuberth tied her career-high for service aces in a single match on Friday evening with five aces against Western Illinois. The match marked the third time in her career that she has recorded five aces in a single match, and the second time this season. Schuberth now has 135 total service aces for her career as she now ranks third all-time in program history for career aces.Â

Setting New Records
To go along with her night, Schuberth has now tied her single season program record of 49 service aces set her freshman season in 2023. Nina now has 49 total aces in 2025 and with just one more, will break her own record for the most service aces in a single season in SEMO Volleyball history.Â

Julie Yankus reached a career milestone two weeks ago against Lindenwood. In the second match with the Lions, Yankus secured her 150
th career Ohio Valley Conference victory with a 3-0 sweep of Lindenwood (11/8). After a sweep of WIU, Yankus now sits at 246 overall career victories as she needs just four more wins this season to reach 250 for her career.Â

Freshman Shines
Jackson, Missouri-native
Katy St. John continued to provide the Redhawks' offense with a spark over the weekend. St. John turned in 14 total kills on just 29 attacks for a .414 hitting-percentage over two matches. She recorded a staggering .600 hitting-percentage in game two against WIU with nine kills on 15 total attacks with no errors. She is third on the Redhawks with 210 total kills, averaging 2.06 kills-per-set.Â

Where We Stand
A big weekend for the Redhawks last weekend, SEMO Volleyball moved into a tie for fourth place with Little Rock (10-6) and Tennessee Tech (10-6) after sweeping Western Illinois. SEMO holds a two-game tiebreaker over TTU but lost the only regular season meeting with Little Rock earlier this season. With two games remaining, SEMO is behind Southern Indiana (12-4), Morehead State (13-3), and Eastern Illinois (14-2).Â

With just two regular season games remaining, SEMO Volleyball ranks third in the OVC in points. Over 115 sets played this season, the Redhawks have accumulated 1,903 total points for an average of 16.55 points per set. Morehead State and Eastern Illinois sit at one and two, respectively, and have played roughly 20 less sets than SEMO this season.Â

Led by
Nina Schuberth with 49 aces, the Redhawks have tallied 200 service aces on the season to lead the Ohio Valley Conference with two matches remaining in the regular season. As a team, SEMO ranks 19
th in the country in service aces and rank 52
nd with 0.43 aces per set as a team. UCONN leads all of NCAA Volleyball with 242 aces in 2025.Â

Sophomore setter
Megan Holder surpassed 1,000 career assists earlier this season at Tennessee Tech. The Freeport, Illinois-native now has 624 total assists this season bringing her total to 1,334 total assists for her career. As a sophomore, Holder now ranks fifth all-time in SEMO program history for assists having passed Keegan Fornoff (2015-16) who finished with 1,072.Â

Ellie Burns (208). As a team, SEMO has recorded 1,401 total assists which ranks them first in the Ohio Valley Conference and 12
th overall in division I volleyball. Indiana University-Indianapolis ranks first in DI volleyball with 1,472 total assists.Â

Lucy Arndt etched her name once again into the record book for total attack attempts this season. Having already recorded the second and seventh most total attacks in a single season, Arndt's 1,250 this season ranks her eighth behind herself. Her total attacks in 2025 ranks her 10
th in all of NCAA Volleyball.Â

Middle blocker
Ramiri Gardner was on fire in the first game against Western Illinois. The St. Peters, Mo.-native tallied 13 kills on 17 total attacks with no errors for a .765 hitting-percentage. That percentage marked a new career-high for Garnder, who is hitting .305 overall this season over 91 sets played. Her 13 kills on the night marked her season-high, and narrowly missed her career best of 15 kills last season versus Tennesssee State.Â

Six-Match Win Streak
SEMO Volleyball concluded the month of October with a 3-0 victory over Tennessee State that sparked a six-match winning streak into November. SEMO is a perfect 5-0 in the month of November and has dropped just one set over that stretch. The Redhawks have taken both matches from Tennessee State, Lindenwood, and Western Illinois coming down the stretch.Â
