MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Southeast Missouri (1-4) won the doubles point and picked up one singles win in a 4-2 loss to Middle Tennessee (5-3) Friday afternoon at the Adams Tennis Complex.

SEMO picked up some momentum when it posted victories at the top two spots of its doubles lineup. Daniela Hlacikova and Juliette Talieu beat Rutuja Chaphalkar and Cassidy Mataia, 6-2, at No. 1 and Trinity Calinescu and Vivian Lai claimed a close 6-4 win over Sana Garakani Eloise Swarbrick at No. 2.

That, however, wasn't enough as MTSU locked down four points in singles play.

Calinescu was SEMO's only singles winner when she battled back after dropping the first set to defeat Mataia, 2-6, 6-0, 6-1, at the No. 2 position. She is now 4-1 this spring.

The Blue Raiders posted straight-set victories in the rest of the singles matchups. 

SEMO returns to action when they head to Conway, Arkansas for two matches Feb. 17-18. The Redhawks face Central Arkansas (Feb. 17) and North Texas (Feb. 18).
