LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Southeast Missouri (2-5) cruised to a dominating 5-0 shutout victory over Central Arkansas (4-4) Friday.
Due to inclement weather, the match was moved to an indoor facility in Little Rock.
Every singles victory came in straight sets for the Redhawks today. At No. 1, Trinity Calinescu beat Vichitraporn Vimuktananda, 6-4, 6-3. Daniela Hlacikova took down Nanoka Kazama, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 2. Juliette Talieu made light work of Konomi Miyakawa, 6-0, 6-3, at No. 3. In No. 4 singles, Vivian Lai upended Ting-An Chen, 6-0, 6-1. Lera Valeeva picked up a 6-4, 6-4, victory at No. 6.
Calinescu tops the Redhawks with a 5-2 singles record this year.
SEMO is back in action when it faces UL Monroe in Springfield, Missouri on Feb. 23.
