SEMO Travels to Martin to End the Season
Southeast Missouri State (1-10-3, 1-4-3 OVC) travels to Martin, Tenn. to take on UT Martin (4-9-3, 3-5-0) with a playoff berth on the line. First kick is slated for 2:00 p.m. CT.

Last Time Out
The Redhawks dropped the final regular season home game on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 1-0 versus Morehead State.

SEMO outshot the Eagles by an 8-6 advantage over the two periods. Sophia Elfrink, who was coming off a three-match result streak, made three saves in the match including an early one-on-one opportunity to keep the score tied at zero.

Forward Cayla Koerner led the offensive attack on Sunday afternoon with a team high four shots. In 82 minutes of action, Koerner recorded one shot-on-target. 
 
Alayna Jakul finished with a pair of shots as Zoe Houston and Justi Nelson each recorded a shot to give SEMO eight in the afternoon.

Elfrink was one-of-six Redhawks who played the entire 90-minutes in Sunday's contest. Jakul, Sophie Shrum, Kristin Anderson, Elizabeth Rater, and Houston put in the full shift on Sunday.

Series History
SEMO leads the all time series against the Skyhawks, having a 12-10-7 advantage. The last time these programs met resulted in a 0-0 draw at home.

The Redhawks own a 5-6-3 record against UT Martin at the Skyhawk Soccer field. Three of those games needed to be solved by overtime. On the road SEMO has scored 17 goals and given up 16 to the Skyhawks.

Most recently the Martin soccer team willed its way to a 1-0 shutout win against Eastern Illinois.

Izzy Patterson scored her team leading fourth goal in the 36th minute to secure the win. She leads the team in goals (4), shots (50), and assists (4), ranking 10th, third and seventh in the OVC.

Goalkeeper Mac Titus locked down her third shutout of the season by making four saves against 13 shots.

Peyton Cook led UT Martin in shots with four (two on goal) with Makayla Robinson (two shots) and Nyeemah Prescod-Beckles (two shots, one shot on goal) also contributing on offense.

In the conference Cook ranks fourth in shots with 43 and third in shots on goal 26. 

Titus has started every game in the net for the Skyhawks, logging 1305:00 minutes played. The senior ranks fifth, fourth, and second in goals against average (1.586), saves (86), and saves per game (5.38) in the OVC.

The Skyhawks have registered 216 shots (2nd), 14 goals (8th), 11 assists (8th), 26 goals against (6th), and 99 saves (2nd).

Mike Varga is in his second season at the helm of the Skyhawk program. UT Martin finished fifth in the Ohio Valley Conference standings to qualify for the 2023 OVC Soccer Championships. A grand total of four Skyhawks received All-OVC nods .

Player of the Week
Emily Baker claimed OVC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this week after scoring two goals against SIUE including one game winning goal to keep SEMO's playoff hopes alive. The first goal was scored as a penalty kick at the beginning of the second half.

During the game Baker notched two total shots with both of them being on target.
