Box Score MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Southeast Missouri tennis ends day three of the Ohio Valley ITA Regional with three more singles wins at the Adams Tennis Center.
SEMO went 3-3 in singles play and 0-2 in doubles action during day three of the tournament.
Overall during the three days of the tournament the Redhawks ended with a 9-7 singles record and a 0-4 doubles record.
Singles Play
Kristina Kozakova and Mia Mayerová competed in the quarter finals of the Blue Raider draw. Kozakova fell to Clara Owen from Xavier 6-2, 6-2.
Mayerová battled against Alana Bristow from Ball State. Mayerová barely lost the first set 6-4, then fought back in the second set and won 6-4. In the tiebreak escaped with a narrow 11-9 victory and advanced to the semifinals of the Blue Raider draw.Â
In the semifinals, Mayerová lost to Tennessee State's Francisca Gomez-Weiss 6-4, 7-5.
Maja Bajorek fell to Rachel Hermanova from Western Kentucky 6-3, 6-2 in the extra matches of the main draw consolation.
In the Blue Raider consolation Juliette Demunck rolled past Alyssa Getty from Belmont, winning 6-4 in the first set and 6-0 in the second.
Lera Valeeva defeated Butler University's Katie Beavin in straight sets. Valeeva won 6-3, 6-2.
Doubles Action
In the doubles main draw consolation bracket Valeeva and Kozakova took on Ece Gencer and Juana Larranaga from Purdue. Valeeva and Kozakova ended up losing 8-2.
The Redhawks other doubles pair of Bajorek and Mayerová, fell to the University of Kentucky's Zoe Hammond and Jadue Asuncion 8-3.
SEMO tennis will be back in action on November 1-2 in Deland, Florida. The Redhawks will be competing in the Stetson Invitational at the university of Stetson.
