CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The 2023 Southeast Missouri Cross Country schedule has been set for the upcoming season beginning in September. 
 
The schedule features six meets, including the 2023 Ohio Valley Conference Championship meet and the NCAA Midwest Regionals hosted in Stillwater, Oklahoma. 
 
The Redhawks will begin their season on September 1 in the Redhawks Cross Country Invite in Cape Girardeau. The event will be held at the nearby Osage Center and is free admission to the public. 
 
Following the lone home meet of the season, Southeast Missouri will be on the road for the remainder of the season. 
 
SEMO will first head to the John McNichols Invitational (Sept. 16) hosted by Indiana State, followed by the Gans Creek Classic (Sept. 30) in Columbia, Mo.
 
The final regular season meet will be at Southern Indiana where the Redhawks will participate in the Angel Mounds Invitational in Evansville, Ind on Oct. 13. 
 
The Ohio Valley Conference championship will take place on Saturday, Oct. 28 in Morehead, Ky. Last season, the women's team placed fourth (91 points) in the conference meet while the men finished in sixth (144 points).
 
Hannah Eastman, Katie Wegmann, and Noah Little all earned All-OVC honors in last season's championship. Eastman and Little will compete for the Redhawks in 2023.
