Redhawks Return to OVC Action With Trip to Southern Indiana
Southeast Missouri (16-15, 5-1 OVC) will be back in Ohio Valley Conference play as they head to Evansville, Ind. to take on Southern Indiana (8-20, 1-5 OVC) for the first time as Division-I conference foes. First pitch is slated for Thursday, April 7, at 6 p.m., April 8, at 6 p.m., and April 9, at noon.Â

Eddie White with an RBI double, a sacrifice fly, and a RBI single to give Murray its first three runs of the contest.Â

Chance Resetich, in the top of the fith inning, ripped a triple to right-center field, scoring three runs in the process as the Redhawks regained the lead, 6-5.Â

The Racers used the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings to pull away from the Redhawks as the game ended 11-8.Â

Resetich finished with four RBIs on a 2-of-6 day at the plate.Â

Resetich On Fire
In four games last week, infielder
Chance Resetich went 11-for-18 including a double and two triples. Resetich hit .611 in the four-game stretch, including a .889 slugging percentage and a .632 OBP.Â

He also drove in and scored six runs himself.

Leeper Getting OnÂ
Peyton Leeper drew two walks over last week's games. The shortstop now leads the team with 21 base-on-balls and leads the team with a .426 on-base percentage.Â

Welcome Back Lincoln Andrews
First baseman
Lincoln Andrews returned to the Redhawks lineup over the weekend after missing time with an injury.Â
Â
The lefty slugger hit .333 over the series against Little Rock including a bases-clearing double in Sunday's contest that blew the game wide open. Andrews finished the weekend with four RBIs and a double.

Southpaw Success
LHP
Noah Niznik and
Haden Dow are now one and two in ERA for the Redhawks with a 3.18 and 3.82, respectively. Both pitchers won their respecitve starts overthe weekend.

 Opposing hitters are hitting just .215 off of Niznik and only .229 off of Dow.Â

Niznik continues to lead the staff with 44 strikeouts on the season. Dow, in third, has punched out 26 opposing batters.

Offensive Leaders        Â
Jevon Mason sits atop the clubhouse with a .317 batting average. Mason also leads the Redhawks with 33 hits, 6 doubles, and 26 runs scored.Â

Chance Resetich leads the slugging percentage category with .486. He is also leading the team with 24 runs batted in and is tied for the team-lead with six doubles.

The Screaming Eagles come into the series against SEMO having snapped an 11-game losing streak by salvaging a game in their series against Lindenwood on Sunday afternoon.Â

The USI offense is paced by outfielder Drew Taylor and shortstop Ricardo Van Grieken. Taylor has a season batting average of .349 (15-43) while Van Grieken follows close behind with a .345 (20-58) mark.Â
Â
USI gets its power from their first baseman Tucker Ebest. He's driven in 25 RBIs and four home runs on the campaign.Â
