CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri (7-2) completed a two-match sweep of Missouri State (4-7) Sunday. The Redhawks shutout the Bears, 7-0, for the second day in a row.
SEMO dominated once again winning in all six single positions and taking the doubles point out of the top two spots.
Romana Tarajova moved to the No. 1 singles spot Sunday and beat Diana Cabrera, 6-3, 3-6, 10-7.
Daniela Hlacikova claimed her eighth consecutive singles win with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Mary Houston.
Vivian Lai (6-3, 6-1),
Ksenia Shikanova (7-6, 7-6), Trinity Calinescu (6-3, 6-4) and
Teona Velkoska (7-5, 7-6) rounded out the lineup with straight set wins.
Tarajova and Shikanova won in the top doubles spot and Hlacikova and Velkoska were victorious in the No. 2 position. Tarajova and Shikanova have now won four-straight doubles matches.
SEMO pushed its winning streak to six matches in a row, heads to Belmont on Mar. 11.
