Daniela Hlacikova saw her eight-match singles winning streak end with a tight three-set loss to Marila Hlahola, 6-4, 4-6, 3-6, at the top of the lineup. After that,
Romana Tarajova fell to Abi Solomon, also in three sets, 6-0, 3-6, 4-6 in the No. 2 spot.Â
After that, the Redhawks did not lose again and did enough to get by the Bruins.
Ksenia Shikanova defeated A. Zholdakova, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles, before
Vivian Lai, Trinity Calinescu and
Teona Velkoska recorded straight-set wins.Â
Lai took down Viktoria Kliimand, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 4, Calinescu beat Taylor Trondson, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 5 and Velkoska upended Meredith Roberts, 7-5, 6-1, at No. 6 to take the match.
Calinescu and Lai won in No. 3 doubles after BU was victorious at both No. 1 and No. 2.
The Redhawks remain in the Music City to face UT Southern on Mar. 13.
