Redhawks Travel to Ole Miss Classic 
Southeast Missouri (4-4) plays five games at the Ole Miss Classic this weekend. The Redhawks open tournament play vs. Missouri State (5-8) at 10:30 a.m. and Mount St. Mary's (2-2) at 1 p.m., CT Friday.

Ole Miss Classic Schedule
Southeast Missouri faces Missouri State (10:30 a.m.) and Mount St. Mary's (1 p.m.) in the opening day of the Ole Miss Classic Friday. On Saturday, SEMO plays Mount St. Mary's (1 p.m.) and tournament host Ole Miss (6 p.m.). The Redhawks wrap up the event with another game vs. Ole Miss (12:30 p.m.) Sunday.

Series Histories
The Redhawks are 9-29 all-time against in-state foe Missouri State. Southeast Missouri is 2-9 against SEC member Ole Miss, while this year marks SEMO's first meeting with Mount St. Mary's.

Against the SEC
The Redhawks are 13-69 all-time against the SEC. Southeast Missouri has previously played Arkansas (2-10), Auburn (0-3), Kentucky (2-2), Mississippi State (1-7), Missouri (6-34), Texas A&M (0-1), LSU (0-1), Ole Miss (2-9) and Tennessee (0-2). Head Coach Mark Redburn has upended a SEC foe twice in the last five years. SEMO beat Missouri at home on Mar. 21, 2018 (8-2) and knocked off then-#12 Arkansas in Fayetteville on Feb. 21, 2019 (6-1). The Redhawks last played Ole Miss on Mar. 2, 22. The Rebels won that game, 7-4, in Oxford.

Redhawks Heating Up
After starting the 2023 season at 0-3, Southeast Missouri has gone 4-1 in its last five contests to move to 4-4 this year. SEMO carries a two-game winning streak to the Ole Miss Classic after beating Western Michigan (Feb. 25), 4-1, and Akron (Feb. 26), 9-5, at the Frost Classic in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

February is in the Books
The Redhawks opened the first month of the season with .500 mark as one of three Ohio Valley Conference teams entering this weekend at .500 or better. Tennessee State (8-6) and Morehead State (3-3) are the others.

Kell Pitching Well
Delaney Kell went 2-0 with a 1.75 ERA in two starts at the Frost Classic last weekend. Kell allowed just two runs in eight innings. She struck out one and walked two, while recording 14 fly ball outs. She leads the Redhawks in wins (3) and starts (3), and is second in appearances (5).

Tucker Tops Redhawks
Alyson Tucker leads Southeast Missouri with a .409 batting average this season. Tucker ranks fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference with that clip behind UT Martin's Kaci Fuller (.615) and Maddi Long (.455), and Southern Indiana's Allie Goodin (.417). She hit safely in four of her first eight starts with multiple hits in those four contests.

Holman Leads the OVC in Strikeouts Looking and Saves
Paytience Holman leads the Ohio Valley Conference with nine strikeouts looking and three saves this season. Holman's three saves already surpassed her total through her first three years as a Redhawk. She struck out seven or more twice this season.

First Wins for the Redhawks
Southeast Missouri claimed its first wins of the 2023 campaign with a doubleheader sweep of Saint Louis (Feb. 19). SEMO came from behind to beat the Billikens, 10-9, in 10 inningsduring game one, and won the nightcap by a score of 7-4.

300th Win for Redburn
Ninth-year Southeast Missouri Head Coach Mark Redburn earned his 300th career NCAA Division I win when the Redhawks beat Saint Louis, 10-9 (10 innings), on Feb. 19. Redburn is 303-350 in 14 years as an NCAA Division I head coach between Evansville (five years) and SEMO.

Wild 10th Inning
With the international tiebreaker rule in effect, Southeast Missouri and Saint Louis combined to score 11 runs in the 10th inning that decided game one of their doubleheader on Feb. 19. SEMO scored six runs in the top of the 10th before SLU responded with five in the bottom half of the inning. The Redhawks came away with a 10-9 victory for its first win of 2023.

Bats Get Going
The Redhawks pounded out a season-high 19 hits in their game one win over Saint Louis (Feb. 19). Six starters had multiple hits. Paige Halliwill, Kat Sackett and Sydney Dennis paved the way with three apiece, while Alyson Tucker, Kynzie Wrigley and Aubrie Shore followed close behind with two each. The 19 hits are SEMO's most in a game since it also had 19 vs. Purdue Fort Wayne on Feb. 14, 2020.

Wrigley Over 100 Career Games Played 
Infielder Kynzie Wrigley played in her 100th career game vs. Akron at the Frost Classic on Feb. 26. Wrigley has 100 games and 91 starts as a Redhawk thus far. She started all eight games at third base this year.

Countdown to 100 Strikeouts 
Left-hander Marisa Davis enters the weekend 18 strikeouts away from reaching 100 in her career. Davis has 82 strikeouts in 128.2 innings over 57 appearances and 16 starts in her career.

Getting on Base
Paige Halliwill and Alyson Tucker have reached base in all eight of Southeast Missouri's games this season. Halliwill and Tucker have also combined for 18 hits, six doubles, six runs scored and 10 RBI this year.

Top Run Scorer
Left fielder Jillian Anderson hit .500 (3-for-6) with five runs scored, a double and two RBI to lead Southeast Missouri to its doubleheader sweep of Saint Louis (Feb. 19). Anderson enters the Ole Miss Classic with a team-high six runs this year.

Team 47
The 2023 season is Southeast Missouri's 47th in program history. SEMO's softball program has an all-time record of 1,184-868. The Redhawks are 824-745-2 since joining the NCAA Division I ranks in 1992.
