WEST LAFAYETTE - Ind. Freshman Brianna Dixon broke the indoor high jump record as SEMO finished with 11 first place finishes, and 29 top three performances at the Fred Wilt Invitational. The Redhawks also compiled 13 new personal bests.
New Season, New Record
In her very first indoor meet Brianna Dixion broke SEMO's indoor high jump record. Dixion is a freshman from Rantoul, Ill. and she placed first in the women's high jump. Dixion cleared the height of 5' 7.75" (1.72m).
Atop the Podium
Piper Klinger, the graduate student from Selinsgrove, Pa., finished on top of the podium in the women's weight throw. Klinger threw for a distance of 59' 1.25" (18.01m).Â
Serena Williams starts the season off right, placing first in the long jump and in the triple jump. Williams jumped to the distance of 5.73-meters in the long jump and 11.99-meters in the triple jump.Â
Parker Feuerborn finished first again in the men's weight throw. Feuerborn threw to the distance of 68' 3.75" (20.82m).
Senior
Breanna Miles placed first in the women's 60-meter dash crossing the finish line in 7.433 almost breaking the record which is 7.42. Miles also finished with the silver medal in the women's 300-meter (40.09). Both times were new PR's for Miles.Â
Freshman
Marcus Gordon Jr. finished his first race with a gold medal in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.35.
Sydney Burdine finished in first place in the women's 300-meter with a time of 39.84. Burdine also placed fifth crossing the line in 7.74 in the women's 60-meter.Â
In the men's shot put
Marshall Swadley grabs the gold, throwing for a distance of 52' 8.75" (16.07m).
Clara Billing picked up where she left off and finished first in the women's pole vault clearing the height off 12' 7.50" (3.85m).Â

Laila Hardin ran the women's 4x400 in 3:57.09 for first.
The men's 4x400 team ofÂ

Silver and Bronze
Alivia Busch and
Bailee Hux placed second and third in the women's weight throw. Busch recorded a mark of 55' 10.25" (17.02m) and Hux notched a mark of 55' 6.25" (16.92m).Â
The freshman Molly Grohmann cleared the height of 5' 5.25" (1.66m) placing second in the women's high jump. Sophie Dubis placed third with a jump of 1.58-meters.Â
Todjai Ross picked up the bronze medal and a new PR in the women's long jump, jumping to the distance of 18' 4.25" (5.59m). Ross also placed second in the triple jump and recorded another PR (11.18m).Â
Marshall Swadley notched a mark of 19.96-meters while also placing second and getting a new personal best.
Alivia Busch threw for a mark of 45'3" for bronze in the women's shot put
In the women's 60-meter hurdles the duo of
Anna Thomason and Brianna Dixon finished in 8.71 for a new personal best and 8.73.
Trystan Wright grabs the bronze in the men's 60m hurdles (8.73).
The Sophomore from Union, Mo.
Erika Mellor ran the 600-meter dash in 1:38.25 for third.
Brenden Parham placed third in the men's 300-meter with a time of 35.61.Â
Quinton Maxwell recorded a new PR in the men's shot put with a mark of 52' 0" (15.85m).Â
The men's triple jump saw
Luke Busateri place second with a jump of 46' 1.50" (14.06m).Â
The other Redhawk team of Dixion,
Megan Aubuchon, Mellor,
Brianna Payton finished the 4x400 in third (4:10.61).
Momoh Brema, Gordon, Wright,
Micah Grawer ran the 4x400 in 3:35.43 to grab the bronze medal.
Notable Performances
In the women's weight throw
Makenzie Williams placed fifth with a mark of 54' 0.50" (16.47m).
Isaac Readnour and Tanner Koontz finished in fourth and fifth place in the men's pole vault. Readnour vaulted to the height of 15' 1.50" (4.61m) and Koontz cleared the height of 14' 7.50" (4.46m).Â
In the women's long jump Ciara Potter placed fourth (17' 11.50")
Clay Alewelt finished in fourth place in the weight throw and shot put. In the weight throw the distance of 57' 4.75" (17.49m) and in the shot put 50' 10" (15.49m).Â
Aarion Jackson placed fifth in the high jump getting to the distance of 22' 0.25" (6.71m).
The men's weight throw saw
Quinton Maxwell place eighth and record a new PR with a throw of 47' 6.50" (14.49m).
Bailee Hux placed fifth in the women's shot with a throw of 41' 7.75". Â
Leanza Dwaah recorded a new PR in the women's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.67 (4th). Â
Payton dashed for fifth (1:41.49) in the 600.
In the women's 300-meter, Hardin and Dwaah both recorded new PR's placing fourth and fifth. Hardin crossed the line in 40.85 and Dwaah in 41.55.Â
Mason Clough jumps for fifth and a new personal best in the high jump ( 6"5.25").
Looking Ahead
After the conclusion of the meet the Redhawks will have a month long hiatus to prepare for their home opener Jan. 13.
