Women's Soccer Adds Two on Wednesday's Signing Day

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's soccer has signed two student-athletes for the 2024 season as Kylar Serio and Alli Saviano signed their National Letter of Intent to join Head Coach Heather Nelson and the Redhawks, the program announced Thursday. 
 
Kylar Serio
A native of Columbia, Mo., Kylar Serio will join SEMO after graduating from Columbia Rock Bridge High School in 2024. 
 
Serio has started and lettered all four years of her high school career for coach Nicky Baird and has scored 34 goals over her high school career. 
 
During her senior season, Kylar found the back of the net 11 times while dishing out seven assists and was named as a 1st Team All-Conference selection and a 2nd Team All-District selection for Rock Bridge. 
 
In 2022, Serio's team placed fourth in the Class 4 Missouri State Championships as she scored 13 goals and tallied six assists. 
 
On the club side, Serio was a member of JB Marine Soccer Club and played for Paige Smith and Mark Kaiser. Her club was 1st in the Missouri State Cup in 2023 and 2nd in 2022. 
 
She is a National Honors Society member and is a B Honor Roll student.
 
Kylar intends to student nutrition at Southeast Missouri. 
 
Alli Saviano
Alli Saviano will join the Redhawks soccer program in 2024 after graduating from St. Charles East High School where she has lettered the last three seasons for coach Vincenzo DiNuzzo. 
 
A native of St. Charles, Ill., Alli has started for St. Charles East the past two seasons and has 12 goals and 17 assists for her career. 
 
The daughter of Peter and Tina Saviano, Alli landed on the All-Conference and All-Sectional Team(s) during her junior season (2022) where she scored seven goals and recorded 12 assists. She was also voted as the conference's most improved player. 
 
As a team, East St. Charles were Regional Champions from 2021-2023, Sectional Champions in 2021 & 2022, and were Conference Champions in 2021. Saviano and her team finished her career with a 62-10-3 overall record in those years. 
 
Alli was a member of Rockford Raptors Football Club where she played for Frank Mateus and Mark Lewis. 
 
In the classroom, she was an Academic All-Conference selection in 2023 and she plans to major in Health Sciences at Southeast.
