Series History
SEMO leads the all-time series with Tennessee Tech, 15-6-3. The Redhawks have won or tied their last three meetings with the Golden Eagles.

SEMO most recently edged TTU, 3-2, on Oct. 27, 2019 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to capture the 2019 OVC regular-season title and clinch the top seed in the league's postseason tournament. With the win, SEMO secured its sixth OVC regular-season crown in program history and first outright title since 2011.

Scouting the Eagles
The Golden Eagles (3-1-0) suffered their first defeat of the season with a 1-0 loss to Belmont Tuesday night at Tech Soccer Field. The Bruins became the first team to score on TTU in four matches this spring behind an 11th-minute goal for the tilt's only score. The Golden Eagles were the last team in the conference to surrender a goal after starting the season with 284 minutes of blanking their opposition.

Tech senior Isabelle Austin, the reigning OVC Goalkeeper of the Week, leads the conference in goals against average and save percentage with a .944 mark behind 17 stops and one goal allowed. Offensively, Chloe Smith leads TTU with 12 shots and seven shots on-goal.

TTU was selected to finish the 2020-21 season sixth in the OVC.

Emma Brune registered her first career goal to lift SEMO (4-0-0, 4-0-0 OVC) past Eastern Illinois (1-4-0, 1-4-0 OVC), 1-0, Tuesday afternoon at Lakeside Field. With the victory, SEMO has now won four straight contests in 2020-21 and posted shutouts in the last three games.

Tied at 0-0 at the break, Brune poked in the game winner in the 79th minute of regulation.

Emily Holten were credited with their first assists of the 2020-21 season on the play.

Brune finished with a team-high three shots in her fourth career start. The freshman from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, also played in all 90 minutes of action for the fourth time this season.

Bailey Redden notched two saves in 90 minutes of play for her fourth straight win and her third consecutive clean sheet.

Lexie Hacker and Jackson all played in all 90 minutes of Tuesday's win. For Holten, it was her first time in 2020-21, playing the entire 90 minutes of regulation.
About Last Week
Lauren Welker scored both of SEMO's game-winning goals this past week as the Redhawks posted a pair of wins at Belmont and Austin Peay. Welker broke a scoreless tie with a goal at Belmont at the 52:00 mark on March 9. She then added her third-straight goal of the season in the 12th minute against Austin Peay on March 12. She played in 159 minutes over the two games, registering two shots and two shots on goal.

Bailey Redden improved to 3-0-0 in 2020-21 with a pair of shutouts of Belmont and Austin Peay this past week. Redden made a save over the two matches and didn't concede a goal in either of the two contests. In 2020-21, she has posted a goals against average of 0.25 and a save percentage of .889.Â

Gabby Gscheidmeier, a redshirt freshman from Germantown, Wisconsin, made her SEMO debut at Belmont on March 9.

SEMO, the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference Regular-Season Champions, were picked to finish the 2020-21 season second in the OVC. ForwardÂ
Megan Heisserer was named to the 2020-21 OVC Players Watch List.

The Redhawks received seven first-place votes and 172 points in the projected order of finish for second behind Murray State (181 points, five first-place votes).

Heisserer, a sophomore from Scott City, Missouri, was named to her first career OVC preseason team. The Notre Dame High School alum, played in all 17 games during her inaugural collegiate season, starting in eight. Heisserer tallied four goals and two assists for 10 points last season including a pair of game-winning goals. She was third on the team with 30 shots.

The 2019 Redhawks fashioned an 11-5-1 mark, tallying a record of 8-1-1 in conference play to win their sixth OVC regular-season crown in program history and first outright title since 2011.
