Southeast Missouri women's soccer (3-0-0, 3-0-0 OVC) heads to the Land of Lincoln for a Tuesday afternoon contest against Eastern Illinois (1-3-0, 1-3-0 OVC) in Charleston, Illinois. First kick is scheduled for 3Â p.m., CT at Lakeside Field.

Eastern Illinois most recently dropped its pair of games this past week against SIUE (7-0 on March 9) and a 1-0 overtime loss at Tennessee Tech on March 12.

The Panthers picked up their first win of the 2020-21 season on March 5, a 1-0 double-overtime decision over Morehead State. Haylee Renick lifted EIU past the Eagles in the 106th minute of play.

Lauren Welker scored both of SEMO's game-winning goals this past week as the Redhawks posted a pair of wins at Belmont and Austin Peay. Welker broke a scoreless tie with a goal at Belmont at the 52:00 mark on March 9. She then added her third straight goal of the season in the 12th minute against Austin Peay on March 12. Welker has now registered three goals in all three of SEMO games this season. She played in 159 minutes over the two games, registering two shots and two shots on goal.

Bailey Redden improved to 3-0-0 in 2020-21 with a pair of shutouts of Belmont and Austin Peay this past week. Redden made a save over the two matches. Redden didn't concede goal in either of the two contests. In 2020-21, she has posted a goals against average of 0.33 and a save percentage of .857.Â

Abby Tremain led the Redhawks this past week with five shots, three on net.
Hannah Compernolle added three shots (two on goal) and assisted on Welker's score against the Governors on March 12.

Gabby Gscheidmeier, a redshirt freshman from Germantown, Wisconsin, made her SEMO debut at Belmont on March 9.

Emma Brune, a Saxony Lutheran graduate, made her first career start March 5 against JSU and has started in all three games this season. Brune is the eighth member of her family to compete athletically for SEMO athletics.

OVC Preseason Poll
SEMO, the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference Regular-Season Champions, were picked to finish the 2020-21 season second in the OVC. ForwardÂ
Megan Heisserer was named to the 2020-21 OVC Players Watch List.

The Redhawks received seven first-place votes and 172 points in the projected order of finish for second behind Murray State (181 points, five first-place votes).

Heisserer, a sophomore from Scott City, Missouri, was named to her first career OVC preseason team. The Notre Dame High School alum, played in all 17 games during her inaugural collegiate season, starting in eight. Heisserer tallied four goals and two assists for 10 points last season including a pair of game-winning goals. She was third on the team with 30 shots.

2019 OVC Regular-Season Champs Recap
The 2019 Redhawks fashioned an 11-5-1 mark, tallying a record of 8-1-1 in conference play to win their sixth OVC regular-season crown in program history and first outright title since 2011.
