CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – A total of 23 student-athletes will receive their degrees from Southeast Missouri State University during the school's commencement exercises at the Show Me Center on Saturday. These Redhawks were honored Tuesday at a pre-graduation ceremony held at the Show Me Center.

Betsy Wilcox opened the ceremony with a welcome before Director of Athletics
Brady Barke spoke to the graduates.
Grace Powderly (SAAC Representative) of women's tennis and
Omardrick Douglas of football provided the student remarks.
Baseball's
Jeb Callaghan received the Jewel Award. It is given each year to a male senior athlete with the highest GPA for his career.
Claire Ochs of women's volleyball was the recipient of the Trombetta Award. The award is given to a graduating female student-athlete with the highest GPA.
Following the awards, the athletic and academic staffs concluded the event with an honorary sashing ceremony.
SEMO's fall commencement ceremonies are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., CT on Saturday at the Show Me Center.
The 10 a.m. ceremony is for the College of Arts and Media, Business and Computing and Humanities and Social Sciences. The 2 p.m. ceremony is for Education, Health and Human Studies and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
