Redhawks Sign Ramiri Gardner for 2022 Volleyball Season

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri women's volleyball head coach Julie Yankus announced Monday the signing of Ramiri Gardner for the 2022 season.

Gardner, a 5-11 middle blocker/right side hitter from St. Peters, Missouri, will join the Redhawks next fall after graduating from Fort Zumwalt South High School in May 2022.

Gardner, the daughter of Rolan and Lucresia Gardner, was most recently named to the first team all-district and second team all-conference as a senior. The Bulldogs went undefeated in conference play to capture the league crown.

She was an all-conference player in her junior (second team) and sophomore (first team) campaigns. Gardner was also selected to the first team all-district in her sophomore season.

In 2020, the Bulldogs finished first in the conference for the first time since 2001.

Josh Farley coaches Gardner at Fort Zumwalt South HS.

Gardner was nominated for both the 2021 League of Leaders and 2020 Missouri Leaders programs.

Gardner has also competed for Crossfire 18s College Prep and Mova club teams. With Mova, she was a member of the 2019 team that received a bid to USA Volleyball Nationals.

Besides volleyball, Gardner is on the track & field team at Fort Zumwalt South HS.

She intends on majoring in Elementary Education at SEMO.
