Redhawks Face SIUE on the Road and TTU at Home in Final Week of Regular Season
Southeast Missouri women's soccer (5-8-1, 2-3-1 OVC) will take on SIUE (7-6-0, 4-2-0 OVC) and Tennessee Tech (4-5-2, 3-2-1 OVC) Thursday and Sunday this week to conclude the Ohio Valley Conference regular-season.

SEMO will head to Edwardsville, Illinois, on Thursday for a meeting with SIUE. First kick is set for 7 p.m., CT at Ralph Korte Stadium. The Redhawks then return to Cape Girardeau for Senior Day Sunday against Tennessee Tech. Initial kick is slated for 1 p.m. at Houck Field.

The two teams last met in the 2021 OVC Championship Final April 17, 2021 in Murray, Kentucky, with the Cougars prevailing 2-1 in overtime to capture the tournament championship.

The Cougars downed Eastern Illinois, 2-0, on Tuesday (Oct. 19) with goals from Myah Diekema and Mackenzie Litzsinger. Jensen Schoch made two saves for the shutout.

Forward Lily Schnieders was named the OVC Co-Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday prior to their game with EIU. Schnieders netted two goals and had one assist in the Cougars' two games this past week at Murray State (Oct. 14) and versus Austin Peay (Oct. 17).

Redden Named OVC Goalkeeper of the Week for Third Time in 2021
Senior
Bailey Redden was selected as the Ohio Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. For Redden it is her sixth career OVC Goalkeeper of the Week honor and third in 2021.

Redden recorded a pair of clean sheets last week against Eastern Illinois (Oct. 14) and Morehead State (Oct. 17) as SEMO extended its unbeaten streak to three (2-0-1). She registered 10 saves on 15 shots over the two contests. Redden played in all 200 minutes and tallied a goals-against average of 0.00 and a saves percentage of 1.000.

The Belleville, Illinois native, tallied five saves in SEMO's 1-0 victory over EIU before closing the week with five at Morehead State in a 0-0 double overtime draw. Redden has now registered a shutout in each of the last three games for SEMO and is first in the OVC for the category with five.

SEMO extended its unbeaten streak to three (2-0-1) with a victory over Eastern Illinois (1-0, Oct. 14) and draw at Morehead State (0-0, 2OT, Oct. 17) this past week.

Katelyn Miller, a freshman forward from Jackson, Missouri, registered her first career goal to lift SEMO past Eastern Illinois, 1-0, Oct. 14 at Houck Field. Miller notched the game-winner in the second minute.

Compernolle to Take First at SEMO in Career Games Â
Hannah Compernolle played in 27 minutes in her 79th career game at Morehead State Oct. 17. The fifth-year senior from Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, now ranks tied for first in SEMO program history with Lisa Schweppe (2002-2005) for career games played. Compernolle will become the all-time games played leader in SEMO program history with an appearance at SIUE or against Tennessee Tech.

Compernolle netted her second career goal as a Redhawk in SEMO's 1-0 victory over Austin Peay on Oct. 10. The goal was her first career game winner. In her career, Compernolle has totaled two goals and four assists for eight points.

Lexi Grote appeared in her 77th career game Oct. 17, which ranks tied for fifth in SEMO program history with Heather Reding (2001-2004). Grote concluded the game at Morehead State with 61 minutes on the pitch.
First OVC Win
SEMO captured its first Ohio Valley Conference victory in 2021 Oct. 10 when the Redhawks overcame Austin Peay, 1-0, at the Morgan Brothers Soccer Field in Clarksville, Tennessee.Â

Redden Moving Up the SEMO Rankings for Shutouts
Bailey Redden notched her fourth and fifth shutout of the 2021 campaign versus Eastern Illinois (Oct. 14) and at Morehead State (Oct. 17). She has registered a shutout in each of the last three games for SEMO.

Redden has 19 shutouts in her career and sits fourth in the SEMO record books. She also ranks second for saves (285), fourth for minutes played (4,977), and tied for fourth for wins (26), and fifth for save percentage (.810).

Redden is 11 saves away from overtaking Kindra Lierz (296 career saves, 2014-17) for the top spot in the Redhawks record books.

Natalie Jackson, a defender from O'Fallon, Missouri, notched her first career goal at SEMO Oct. 3 in the Redhawks 4-1 loss to UT Martin.

Rater Heads in Her Second Career Goal
Elizabeth Rater notched her second career goal and first in conference play Sept. 30 at Murray State. Trailing at the break 1-0, Rater knotted the contest with a header in the 47th minute.Â
Katelyn Miller of Jackson, Missouri, fed Rater for her first career assist as a Redhawk.

Rater, a freshman from Mequon, Wisconsin, led all SEMO substitutes at Murray State with 40 minutes on the pitch. The strike was her second career goal after finding the back of the net against Maryville on Aug. 22.

Rollet tallied five saves against Evansville on Sept. 2. Rollet finished the weekend with a career-best 12 saves against the Hoosiers on Sept. 5.

Couturier, a sophomore transfer from Southeastern (NAIA in Florida), finished with a pair of goals on two shots on net in 45 minutes of action as a second-half substitution.

SEMO fashioned a 7-4-1 overall mark in 2020-21 including a 6-3-1 record during conference play, which tied for third in the OVC. The Redhawks qualified for their fourth-straight OVC Championship Tournament and 19th all-time appearance this past spring.
