MOREHEAD, Ky. – Southeast Missouri women's soccer (5-8-1, 2-3-1 OVC) drew with Morehead State (4-8-4, 2-3-2 OVC), 0-0, Sunday afternoon at MSU Rec & Wellness Field after a pair of overtime periods.
With the tie, SEMO earned a point in the Ohio Valley Conference standings and extended its unbeaten streak to three (2-0-1).
Bailey Redden made five saves for her third straight shutout in 2021. Redden, a senior from Belleville, Illinois, now has 285 saves (second all-time) and 19 shutouts (fourth all-time) in her career as a Redhawk.
Katelyn Miller paced the Redhawks with two shots including one on target at 46:41. The freshman from Jackson, Missouri, competed in 69 minutes as a substitution.
Morehead State outshot SEMO, 10-5, in the game including 5-1 on goal. The Redhawks registered the lone shot in the two overtimes Sunday.
Lexi Grote's shot from distance at 109:57 went out top right.
SEMO and Morehead State went to the break with the score tied at nil-nil.
The Eagles outshot the Redhawks in the opening half, 3-0, with one on target.
Redden stopped Colleen Swift's shot in the 12th minute to keep the scoreboard blank.
Morehead State earned three corner kick opportunities in the first period.

Kate Daus and
Natalie Jackson played in all 45 minutes in the opening half.
Brune, Daus and Jackson all competed in the full 110 minutes Sunday.
Brune has now played in the full regulation each of the past four games. Jackson extended her full regulation streak to eight. Daus played in her fifth full regulation game in 2021 and second straight after playing in 90 minutes against Eastern Illinois on Thursday.
Johnson finished with 87 minutes on defense,
Kiana Khedoo competed in 86 and
Elizabeth Rater tallied 85 minutes as a sub.
Johnson made her seventh start in 2021 and first since Sept. 19 against Missouri State.
Morehead State continued the pressure in the second half, leading the shot differential 7-2.
Nicole Fiantaco, Anna Lohrer and Katie Kiolbassa each had two shots for the Eagles.
Lohrer, Abby Vanhoeve and Sarah Faloon all competed in the full 110 minutes.
Morehead State earned 10 corners compared to SEMO who had none.
Michelle Jerantowski made a save for the Eagles for the shutout.
Hannah Compernolle played in 27 minutes in her 79th career game. The fifth-year senior from Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, now ranks tied for first in SEMO program history with Lisa Schweppe (2002-2005) for career games played.
Lexi Grote appeared in her 77th career game Sunday, which ranks tied for fifth in SEMO program history with Heather Reding (2001-2004). Grote concluded Sunday with 61 minutes on the pitch.
SEMO competed in its second overtime game in 2021 Sunday after dropping a 1-0 decision to Belmont in their OVC opener on Sept. 26.
The Redhawks halted their streak of scoring the game winner prior to the third minute of action at two games.
The Redhawks next close out regular-season OVC play at SIUE on Thursday, Oct. 21 before hosting Tennessee Tech on Senior Day, Sunday, Oct. 24. First kick for the final regular-season road contest in 2021 in Edwardsville, Illinois, against SIUE is set for 7 p.m., CT at Ralph Korte Stadium. SEMO hosts TTU Oct. 24 with a 1 p.m. kickoff at Houck Field.
