SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Southeast Missouri defeated Missouri State, 3-0, in exhibition action Wednesday night. The exhibition matchup was split into three 30-minute periods.
Megan Heisserer scored the first goal of the contest with 25 minutes left in the second period. Heisserer scored off an assist by
Esmie Gonzales.
Hannah Compernolle scored just three minutes later, giving the Redhawks a 2-0 advantage. Compernolle's goal was assisted by Heisserer.
Gonzales capped the shutout with a goal late in the final period. With 11 minutes remaining, Compernolle passed the ball to Gonzales who polished off the win.
SEMO will continue exhibition action at Southern Illinois Saturday.
