PADUCAH, Ky. – Southeast Missouri women's tennis (10-9, 3-4 OVC) overpowered SIUE (6-13, 1-6 OVC), 6-1, Friday at the McCracken County High School Tennis Indoor Facility to improve to 3-4 in Ohio Valley Conference play in 2019.

Romana Tarajova and
Manuela Barriga each registered doubles and singles wins at the dual match.
Southeast secured its 12th doubles point in 2019 and fourth in league matches to open the dual.
Zonova and Sinha beat Callaghan Adams and Maria Thibault, 6-3, to improve to 2-0 (8-5 in 2019) at the middle doubles position. Tarajova and Barriga then triumphed over Nicole Gomez and Raillane Kamdem, 6-4, at the no. 3 doubles.
When the meet moved to singles, the Redhawks rallied off six straight wins in the solo competition to claim the conference dual victory, 6-1.
Teona Velkoska defeated Kamdem, 6-2, 6-2, at the fourth slot.
Sinha prevailed over Ann-Christine Link, 6-4, 6-0, at no. 5 singles for her 10th dual victory this campaign (10-6).
Barriga then ousted Thibault, 6-1, 6-1, at the sixth position to extend her win streak to four matches.
Zonova improved her mark in 2019 at the second position to 12-6 when she outlasted Lara Tupper, 6-4, 6-2.
Tarajova then was victorious in her top singles match. The freshman from Dolný Kubín, Slovakia, beat Alina Munteanu, 6-4, 6-2, to push her team-best singles mark to 12-4.
Adams defeated
Isabella Krupa at no. 3 singles, 6-1, 7-5, to conclude the match.
Southeast next hosts Eastern Illinois Saturday at noon on Senior Day in the regular-season finale at the Redhawks Tennis Complex. SEMO will recognize seniors

Isabella Krupa at the conclusion of the dual and there will be a free cookout held at the tennis courts.
