CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri (2-6) dropped a 1-0 decision to UT Martin at Houck Field Sunday.
On a hot day where water breaks were implemented, SEMO was unable to hold off UTM in its second Ohio Valley Conference loss of the season.
Freshman
Bailey Redden logged her first career start in goal for the Redhawks and recorded nine saves on the day.
However, UTM got the only goal of the game with just over 20 minutes left when Samantha Kelly scored off a cross by Skylor Keane on a fast break toward the goal.
The Skyhawks outshot the Redhawks 15-7. UTM also had 10 shots on goal to SEMO's two.
SEMO returns to action when it travels to Jacksonville State on Sept. 23.
