EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Southeast Missouri women's soccer (4-7-3, 2-3-3) tied SIUE (5-7-1, 4-3-1), 1-1, Sunday afternoon at Ralph Korte Stadium on a late goal from
Morgan McCourt to earn a point in the conference standings.

Trailing 1-0, McCourt volleyed a shot past Jensen Schoch in the 89th minute to force overtime.
Â
Southeast and SIUE played two overtime periods and ended the match with a 1-1 draw. The match marked the third straight contest for the Redhawks that needed extra time.

Neither team scored in the first half as SEMO and the Cougars tied with three shots apiece and each had four corner kick opportunities.

Out of the break, Andrea Frerker put SIUE on the scoreboard with a goal in the 47th minute.

Southeast had multiple chances in the second half to equalize as
Jennifer Brien fed
Jordan Nelson a pass across the goal box in the 54th minute but Nelson was just wide of the mark.
Jermima Job also took a shot from distance that Schoch pushed over the net.

SEMO broke the deficit in the waning minutes of regulation as Job found McCourt who one-touched the pass past Schoch.

Southeast finished the contest with 17 shots and the Cougars racked up 16.

Bailey Redden played all 110 minutes in net and registered six saves. Schoch had four saves and also went the distance.

Esmie Gonzales led the Redhawks with 10 total shots with three on goal. McCourt chipped in two and
Lauren Kaempfe, Job and Nelson each had one.

Southeast next visits Belmont on Thursday, Oct. 18 before hosting Austin Peay on Sunday, Oct. 21 in their regular season finale.
